Rescuing The Heritage
In addition to the 200 killed and thousands injured, the Beirut explosion ravaged homes, closed businesses and destroyed infrastructures. Alas, it has also damaged irreplaceable historical works of art.
Under the guidance of the Art Nub Art School, a team of volunteers has taken on the mission to save and restore Beirut’s works of art, free of charge. The "Beirut Fine Art Heritage Rescue" offers free damage assessment, consultancy and restoration services. Regardless of the artist who created the piece or its value, they will take care of it. Gathering a team of professional volunteers from diverse backgrounds and bringing the works of art back to life, they wish to raise awareness of their national heritage amongst Lebanese.
